komoot x IRIS womens weekender

the black forest

Last june I had the chance to join a weekender organized by Iris and Komoot, knowing you're joining one of these women community events is always kinda magical because you're really about to get ready and discover new places with people you've never met before!
Is there something more exiting than that?

Once arrived to Freiburg by bus from Milano, I met Hannah, she hosted at least 10 of us the nights before and after the event, she was a five-star host and make us all feel at home right away!
Day one meant meeting the whole group of nearly 40 women, followed by:
a super nice and precise introduction to the weekend by Isabel, a fully loaded breakfast (really, there was nothing missing).

The ride itself was nothing short of extraordinary. The climbs challenged our legs, but the stunning scenery made every effort worthwhile. Rolling through vibrant greens and winding forest paths felt like stepping into a storybook.

Along the way, we shared countless laughs, made impromptu snack stops, celebrated birthdays, and soaked in the joy of being surrounded by a group of strong, spirited women. The energy was contagious—each rider bringing her own story, strength, and vibrant personality to the group.

The weekend wasn’t just about the miles we covered or the beautiful terrain; it was about the intangible magic of the women’s cycling community. Riding together, cheering each other on, and sharing in the highs (and the occasional lows) created connections that went beyond the bike. With every pedal stroke, it became clear: these events are as much about the people as they are about the places we explore.

fun, freedom, forest & friends.
women power all around, it was the real deal!

Definitely the kind of experience you end up feeling grateful and lucky for!!
